2023 Carneros Rosé of Pinot Noir

$30.00

The grapes for our 2023 rosé come from a small Pinot Noir vineyard in Carneros. Picked early and whole-cluster pressed, this classic Pinot rosé has notes of fresh strawberry, stone fruit, and raspberry. With lively acidity and a lingering, dry finish, this is a must-have summer sipper!

Vineyard

These grapes come from the sandy soils of Contra Costa County. Amidst the strip malls and power lines are some of the oldest vineyards in California. These vines are centuries-old, head trained, and own-rooted, and look very much like the vine muse on the Tulocay label.

Winemaking

We take our rosé drinking lightly but our winemaking seriously—picking specifically for rosé at low Brix and high acid, whole cluster pressing, and undergoing a long, slow, cool ferment. The wine was kept in stainless steel and neutral oak, and bottled the spring following harvest.

Winemaker’s Notes

Everything you’d want from a rosé—stone fruit, fresh strawberries, zippy acidity. Dry and refreshing, and ready to head to the beach.
